has the following vacancies:

 

1.       Fund  Raising Officer II  

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •                      Create and organize effective fund- raising methods.
  •                      Represent the Home at various donation-collection functions.
  •                      Place and monitor donation boxes at various locations.
  •                      Expand our network of regular donors.

 

Requirements:

  •                      Minimum; Diploma in any field, Computer Literate/ISO Knowledge
  •                      Result-orientated, highly motivated, pro-active, with good public relations and communication skills.

 

2.       Deaf/Blind Multi-Handicapped Coordinator

          (Head of Department)

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •          To be responsible for the planning of the teaching programme and to see that Individual Education programme for each child is assigned.
  •          To be able to support and train families of these children.
  •          To lead a team of staff and to manage the unit.

 

Requirements:

  •          Minimum SPM/MCE or certificate in Deaf/Blind multi-handicapped is an advantage.
  •          Computer Literate/ISO Knowledge
  •          Be prepared to live-in

*Additional requirements for position 1 & 2 –

i) Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English

ii) Able to drive

 

3.       IT Instructor cum Administrator

         (Head of Department)

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •          To plan and provide Computer Training courses and recommend ways to resolve and improve training programs.
  •          Conduct research, survey etc. for the development of computer training programs.
  •          Handle special projects related to computer & assistive technology services as needed.

 

Requirements:

  •          Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Education, Rehabilitation or a closely related field.
  •          Minimum three (3) years of work experience in computer training, service, maintenance, including hardware/software installation and configuration preferred.
  •          Strong writing, speaking and human relations skills are required.
  •          Working experience directly with Computer and Assistive Technology for the Blind / Visual Impaired or a certificate from an Assistive Technology Program will be added advantage.

 

4.       Finance Officer

          (Head of Department)

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •                      To write up the monthly and yearly Final Accounts and to prepare the yearly audit of the Home.
  •                      Preparation of yearly budget
  •                      To manage the running of the Finance Department.

 

Requirements:

  •                      Minimum Degree in Accounting at least 5 years experience.
  •                      Computer Literate and good interpersonal skills.

 

5.       Occupational Therapist

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •                      To assess and give recommendations for suitable rehabilitation for clients (children, in-house trainees, senior citizens, walk-in clients etc.)
  •                      To assist in IEP preparation for the Early Intervention and Deaf Blind Multi handicapped Programmes and to conduct counselling when the need arises.
  •                      Able to travel and visit clients in their home environment when necessary.

 

Requirements:

  •                      Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapist.
  •                      Strong writing, speaking and human relations skills are required.

 

6.       EIP Assistant

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •                      Matured, able to love and work with disabled children
  •                      Prepared to work flexible hours and to travel long distances.
  •                      Able to write reports and keep proper records of data

 

7.       Low Vision Assistant

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •                      To assist in the sales and maintaining of adequate stocks of Low Vision
  •              Aids, both optical and non optical.
  •                     To assist in the escorting the Low Vision Clients to welfare dept., hospitals, schools
  •            Optometrist Centre and other organization for referral cases that need Low Vision
  •            Aids.         
  •                     To assist in planning and implementation of public interaction for the purpose of public awareness, prevention and eye care.

 

Requirements for position 6 & 7

  •                     Minimum SPM/MCE with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  •                     Computer Literate.
  •                     Must possess a driving license and willing to travel long distances.

 

8.       Finance Clerk

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •                      Preparing Cheques for payment, analysis of all utility bills and control petty cash.
  •                      To disperse allowances to trainees.

 

Requirements:

  •                      Minimum Bookkeeping with at least 2 years experience.
  •                      Computer Literate and good interpersonal skills.

 

 

9.       General Clerk

 

Main Responsibilities:

  •                      General Clerical duties such as filing, typing of letters and compiling reports.

 

Requirements:

  •                      Minimum 1 year experience.
  •                      Computer Literate and good interpersonal skills.
