On June 27th, in conjunction with Helen Keller week, an “Awareness Programme on Deaf-Blindness” was held at St. Nicholas’s Home. Helen Keller day is observed every year to mark the birth of a remarkable person, Helen Keller.
23 June 2022 - Sports Day 2022 finally has a fresh change of pace after two years of gap without this annual event due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It highlights the values of teamwork and sportsmanship among our trainees, staff, work programs and also volunteers.
16 December 2021 – The staff members from Jabil visited St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang. They donated some personal protective equipment (PPE) to our Home. We would like to express our utmost sincere gratitude towards Jabil.
11 December 2021 – St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang held a "Symposium on the Visually Impaired and New Norms" at the Mercure Hotel Penang. The objectives of this event are to make known the challenges of the visually impaired during the New Norm.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Malaysian German Society for organizing this fundraising dinner and also allowed our staff members to sell our basketry products outside the banquet hall.
Molex has been collaborating with St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang since 2019. We would like to thank Molex profusely for their continuous support of the blind and visually impaired residents in the Home.
Motorola Care donated some personal protective equipment (PPE) to St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang. We would also like to thank Motorola Care for taking us into consideration as their long-term partner for CSR.
Due to COVID-19, the White Cane Day 2021 was held virtually on Zoom and Facebook Live. We invited our former trainees to share their work experiences. We would like to thank the participants and sponsors for making this event a successful one.
We greatly appreciate B Braun Asia Pacific for their effort to organize the "B. Braun Asia Pacific Virtual Charity Run" and for including St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang as one of the beneficiaries of this charity run.
We collaborated with Penang General Hospital to raise awareness regarding blindness among government agencies and educate the public on how to correctly aid the blind and visually impaired people virtually on Zoom and Facebook.
