Ride For Sight 2017 – “Just Possible”

The iconic Ride For Sight is back for the seventh year!
Renewing our partnership with our co-organisers G-Club Penang Cyclists, Queensbay Mall Penang, Ride For Sight 2017 will again be a night ride. The scenic route will be approximately 25km beginning from Queensbay Mall along the scenic Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway, towards Batu Maung before turning back towards Queensbay Mall. Participants will get to enjoy a fun and stress free ride with the spectacular night view of the secong bridge as well as the brand new dedicated bicycle lane.
We are extremely happy to announce that Brooks will be our official apparel partner and all registered participants can look forward to a specially designed quality quick dry Brooks T-shirt! There will also be attractive lucky draw prizes and goodies bag.
We also have other good news:
1. For those who register in group, for every five registration the sixth will be free! *
2. There will be a mystery gift for the 200th, 400th, 600th, 800th and 1000th registrant.*

Walk For Sight & Sound 2012

For the fourth year running, together with the Lions Club of Georgetown Perdana, St Nicholas’ Home will once again be having our annual Walk For Sight & Sound 2012!

Date: 2nd September 2012

Time: 7am to 12pm

Venue: Lebuh Pantai (Beach Street)

Participation fee: RM15 per person

Lucky Draw prizes include:

– 4D 3N Phuket Krabi cruise packages

– 2D 1N High Sea cruise packages aboard SuperStar Libra

– Electronic gadgets, dining vouchers, bicycles and many more!!

The Honourable Penang State Governor will flag off the participants from Lebuh Pantai (Beach Street). This 3.8km charity blind-folded Walk is organised to create awareness and to raise funds for the visually-impaired and the hearing-impaired community.

Registration is now open! Goodie bags and caps will only be given to the first 3000 participants, so sign-up now! Closing date for registration is August 15th 2012 (Wednesday).

Interested participants can fill up the forms and submit it to our St Nicholas’ Home (SNH) office. You can also print out the form, fill in all your particulars and submit your forms to our SNH office together with your participation fee.

SNH Carnival 2012

After last year’s success, St Nicholas will once again be closing out the year with another food fair!

Come November 3rd, St Nicholas home will be the place to be. With various food stalls and exciting activities, you would not want to miss our food fair. You will get the chance to eat some of the most delicious food Penang has to offer and at the same time, contribute back to charity, to St Nicholas.

St Nicholas will also be unveiling a secret. Yes, something mysterious! We’ve been keeping it under wraps for quite a while now and we are really excited about it.

So, if you want to find out what the BIG NEWS is, meet us at the St Nicholas Home field on November 3rd!

Coupons are now on sale! The coupons are being sold at RM20 each, so get it to now to enjoy all the delicious food, drinks and games!

Visitors are advised to use the back entrance of the Home and they can park their cars at the RTM Parking lots.

Ride for Sight 2012

After lasts years’ success, we from St. Nicholas’ Home organized the “Ride for Sight” for the second time this past Sunday, with G Club as co-organizing partner and together with MPPP. This year we organized the event at the heritage side of Georgetown, starting and finishing at Straits Quay.

At first we didn’t had so many participants, only about 200, but after the last press conference we couldn’t believe our eyes, more than 700 participants!

On the day itself  the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Lim Guan Eng, gave the starting signal and joined the Ride for Sight on one of our tandem-bikes. After the event the participants and other visitors could enjoy Mr. B and three rounds of lucky draw. Our trainees had a great day; this Ride for Sight was the peak of all the tandem bike trainings they had and they really enjoyed the cycling.

Through this event, we showed the people in Penang and Malaysia that the Blind and Visually Impaired people of Malaysia have the same opportunities as their normal peers and that they also care about a healthy living nurturing Mother Nature.

We are already looking forward to the next Ride For Sight and we hope to see you all next year!
