1st Dose of COVID-19 Vaccination in St. Nicholas’ Home
5th July 2021 is a day of celebration for every staff and resident of St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang. This is the day that we received the much-needed vaccinations in the Home, providing us with extra protection while being in line with the Government’s goal of inoculating 80% of the population by February 2022.
On behalf of every blind and visually impaired residents in St. Nicholas’ Home, we are especially appreciative of Penang State Government, YB Phee Boon Poh, YB Chris Lee Chun Kit, Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) North-East district mobile vaccination team, and Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Pulau Pinang for making this happen. Without their help, we would have faced much difficulties in arranging the logistics if we were to be inoculated elsewhere. St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang is indeed blessed and grateful to have countless parties willingly spend their precious resources to aid us directly or indirectly.
