4 August 2022 – We are honoured to have our trainer from Malaysian Red Crescent Society Penang Chapter with us this morning to educate us on the first aid skills. St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang is NGO who provide education, vocational training and senior home to the visually impaired. Therefore, it is important to be educated our staff who is serving the visually impaired.

The syllabus of training started with the scope of first aid, the structure of the human body,  the circulatory system, the respiratory system, asphyxia, shock, wounds & bleeding, fractures & dislocations, dressing & bandages, burns & scalds, poisons & poisoning, fainting & unconsciousness, lifting & transportation, occupational safety & health and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The training was successful and benefited staff. St. Nicholas’ Home’s staff gained knowledge in first aid and able to react immediately. We were glad that our staff (even low vision staff) abled to complete and pass the first aid training.  A big thanks to Malaysian Red Crescent Society Penang Chapter for willing to spend their precious time with us.
