EIP

Early Intervention Program (EIP) is an outreach programme in which home-based training is provided for children under the age of seven with visual impairment.

DBMH

This programme is the first of its kind in Malaysia, providing services for children with more than one disability.

WORK PROGRAM

This program allocates trainees to different departments in St. Nicholas' Home to gain work experience before entering the real workforce.

SOCIAL CARE

Social Care Officer (SCO) mainly handles the general affairs of trainees and residents in St. Nicholas’ Home.

SENIOR CITIZEN

SENIOR CITIZENS’ CENTRE was set up to cater for the growing number of elderly and visually challenged individuals above 60 years old.

LOW VISION CENTRE

Low Vision Centre offers services such as assessment and eye screening, prescription of optical and non-optical visual aids, referral for rehabilitation and other resources.

IRC BRAILLE

Perkins Brailler and the new Braille Display are the main tools used for braille translation and teaching.

IRC LIBRARY

SNH has had a school library of braille books for the use of its school children with vision impairment since the 1950s.

IRC AUDIO

Currently 3 studio rooms for volunteers to record book reading, later on produce mp3 format of audio books for the visually-impaired.
