Merdeka “MySejahtera” Song Making
Selamat Hari Merdeka ke-63 from St. Nicholas’ Home!
This year, we specially created a Merdeka celebration video ahead of time to commemorate Malaysia’s 63rd National Day. Prior to this, the children in Taska and trainees have been practicing the song and memorizing the lyrics since May to prepare for the actual day of the song recording.
On the 26th of August, we were gathered in the music room for the recording. The staff, Taska’s teachers and children were all dressed in traditional attire for the occasion and singing to ‘Sejahtera Malaysia’ in high spirits. It was a touching moment to witness the children and the teachers bonding and sharing laughter, without the boundaries of race and religion.
