Malaysian German Society held fundraising dinner for St. Nicholas’ Home
03 December 2021 – the Malaysian German Society held their annual dinner at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel with the purpose of raising funds for St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang. Ms. Carmen Chew, our Acting General Manager, was invited to participate in this event. The Malaysian German Society also allowed our staff members to sell our basketry products outside the banquet hall. The Basketry Course has been taught in our home since 1949 and it has been our course for the longest period. In all, we have raised more than RM18,000 during this event. On behalf of the residents and staff members of St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Malaysian German Society for organizing this fundraising dinner.
