The Signing MOU with Penang Adventist Hospital 2022 – 2024
04 November 2022 – This day marked another milestone in our partnership with Penang Adventist Hospital in providing free cataract surgeries to the needy patients in Malaysia since 2018. As we all know, cataracts are the leading cause of blindness worldwide. Our partnership will enable better pooling of resources and expertise to benefit the community in eye disease prevention and awareness.
Thus, the Home decided to donate the receiving funds of RM40,000 from L’Occitane Foundation Malaysia to continue the project by signing another Memorandum of Understanding on 4th of November 2022. St. Nicholas’ Home will subsidize RM1,000 per person, while the remaining RM3,850 will come from Penang Adventist Hospital’s Welfare Fund.
